An Encouraging Concept For
Energy Production by
Carvey Ehren Maigue

In the international competition The James Dyson Award, the AuREUS project, designed by Carvey Ehren Maigue from Mapua University in the Philippines, won the current year in the Sustainability category. These are specially developed panels that sequence ultraviolet radiation, which they further convert into electrical energy. The panels are made from ordinary food waste. They are converted into an elastic mass which absorbs, which is further deposited in the edges of the panels where it is deposited. So far, this is a promising concept that can be used, for example, on the facades of houses.
