Horizon Yachts Delighted Its
Fans With The FD87 Motor Yacht
Taiwanese shipyard Horizon Yachts delighted its fans when it launched its latest motor yacht FD87. Developed for the owner of the Horizon, the FD87 light guide vessel has been expanded to meet the owner's layout requirements and now measures 28.08 meters. After completing the tests, in the tank, the vessel is set to leave the shipyard in June and arrive in the US in July.
In its interior design, its exteriors come from the drawing boards of the Dutch studio Cor D. Rover Design. Onboard, it provides accommodation for up to six guests in three cabins on the lower floor, including a large long-distance master, with four crew members. In addition, as a new feature for this specially expanded FD87 model, the main platform at the front also has a country kitchen design.
Power for the all-GRP 187 GT is provided by Caterpillar twin-engine 1136 hp diesel engines, which allow it to reach a top speed of 17 knots and sail comfortably at 10 knots. Other reports from Horizon Yachts have now added the superstructure and hull of the first onboard supercharger FD92. The vessel is scheduled to begin sailing in July, with arrival in the United States expected in September.
